A prominent leaker has taken to social media to share new images of Fortnite's upcoming Chapter 6 Season 1 map. The battle royale recently brought Chapter 5 to a close with a Marvel-themed season. This was the game's second season-wide collaboration with Marvel and took place in the wake of Disney investing 1.5 billion dollars in an equity stake of Epic Games. As the partnership between Disney and Epic Games has deepened, many fans have been eager to see what's on the horizon for Fortnite. It has been nearly one year since the game expanded its presence by introducing new modes like Fortnite Festival, LEGO Fortnite, and Rocket Racing.
Fortnite will soon end its latest season, Chapter 2 Remix. The short throwback season featured the return of an old map, a mini-battle pass, unvaulted weapons, and even the game's forgotten shakedown mechanic. While many returning elements were familiar to players, old locations were remixed to incorporate new collaborations with Snoop Dogg, Ice Spice, Eminem, and Juice WRLD. Players have even been able to earn free Juice WRLD cosmetics in Fortnite for a limited time. The season has been a celebration of the game's past while fans eagerly await the release of Chapter 6 Season 1 in December.

Prominent leaker ShiinaBR posted an image of Fortnite's Chapter 6 Season 1 map on Twitter just after the game's Chapter 2 Remix finale event. The upcoming season features many Japanese themes, and the colorful top-down view of the map seems to reflect this. The map appears to be devoid of the large desert areas that made up so much of the game's Chapter 5 landscape. While it's difficult to discern too many specific details from the image, fans can look forward to seeing Godzilla stomp around Fortnite's map very soon.
The newest season of Fortnite seems as if it will hit the ground running. Shortly after the update's release, the game will be debuting a new way to play called Fortnite OG. The game mode will bring back the battle royale's Chapter 1 map and feature its own battle pass. Around the same time, Fortnite will be crossing over with Marvel Rivals. Players will have the opportunity to claim a free cosmetic in Fortnite when they play ten matches of Marvel's new team-based hero shooter.
Chapter 6 looks as if it will be full of surprises for new and returning players alike. In fact, one of the game's latest trailers showed fans that the newest season of Fortnite will include a form of wall-running. While trailers, leaks, and rumors have the community abuzz, it's likely Epic Games has managed to keep a few big secrets to themselves. Fans won't have to wait long, as Chapter 6 Season 1 launches on December 1, 2024.
